The daily routine of the base rooms will depend hugely on the age of your child. 
Each day is planned and approved by our professionals to include activities that are perfect for your child's learnin

The Yellow Room

Babies Typical Routine-

Yellow Room

8-30am-9-20am

Welcome and children are offered and supported in free flow play opportunities.

9-20am-9.45am

Children are offered free flow play in the outside garden where they are supported by staff from their base area or if weather is inclement in their base room.

9-45am-10-15

Snack Time at approx 9.45am. the children are offered fruit and toast and a choice of drinks

10-15am-11.50am

Follow the weekly planning sheet for the day's learning opportunities. Nappy change and some bottle-feeding will take place during this time. The following opportunities will be available for the children to experience, either indoors or outdoors:-Water/Sand/Story-time/Painting/Outdoor Play/ Investigative Play/Nursery Rhymes/Floor Toys/Musical Toys/Heuristic Play/Together Time with key persons etc.

11.30–12.30pm

Lunch Time-small sociable groups with staff supporting the children and the children being encouraged to parallel feed whenever possible. We have seats for babies at the same level as the other children so that they can interact.

12.30-2.30pm

Sleep time and quiet afternoon activity time.

2.30-3.30pm

Nappy change time and afternoon learning opportunity time. Follow the weekly planning sheets. Offer drinks of water regularly throughout the day. The following opportunities will be available for the children to experience: Water/Sand/Story-time/Painting/Outdoor Play/ Investigative Play/Nursery Rhymes/Floor Toys/Musical Toys/Heuristic Play/Together Time with key persons etc.

3.45pm-4.15pm

Tea Time-small groups again as at lunch time.

4.15pm-5-30pm

Evening playtime. (Tidy round)

Setting up the room for tomorrow

The Blue Room

Toddlers Typical Routines -

Blue Room

8-30am-9-20am

Welcome and children are offered and supported in free flow play opportunities.

9-20am-9.45am

Children are offered free flow play in the outside garden where they are supported by staff from their base area or if weather is inclement in their base room.

9-45am-10-15

Snack Time at approx 9.45am. The children are offered fruit and toast and a choice of drinks The children are encouraged to help themselves to whatever they want to eat. They also pour their own drinks and return their own dishes to the washing up bowl. This is an important area for their independence.

10-15am-11.50am

Story time and dance and songs, rhymes time while the room is et up for the next activities. Follow the weekly planning sheet for the day's learning opportunities. Nappy change will take place during this time. The following opportunities will be available for the children to experience, either indoors or outdoors:-Water/Sand/Story-time/Painting/Outdoor Play/ Investigative Play/Nursery Rhymes/Floor Toys/Musical Toys/Heuristic Play/Together Time with key persons etc.

11.30–12.30pm

Lunch Time-small sociable groups with staff supporting the children. The children being encouraged to use a knife and fork as well as take their plates, and cutlery to the bowl, choose their puddings and then clear away their own cups and chairs. They are also encouraged to wash their own hands prior to eating and clean hands and faces after completing their meal.

12.30-2.30pm

2.30-3.30pm

Nappy change time and afternoon learning opportunity time. Follow the weekly planning sheets. Offer drinks of water regularly throughout the day. The Green Room

Pre-School Daily Routines –

Green Room

8-30am-9-20am

Welcome and children are offered and supported in free flow play opportunities.

9-20am-9.45am

Children are offered free flow play in the outside garden where they are supported by staff from their base area or if weather is inclement in their base room.

9-45am-10-15

Snack Time at approx 9.45am. The children are offered fruit and toast and a choice of drinks The children are encouraged to help themselves to whatever they want to eat. 10-15am-11.50am

Focus Activities begin
The children are gathered together and staff engage the children with discussions about the day. The children begin their topic related activities in earnest and all are encouraged to participate. Some children work in small groups with an adult and remaining children have the choice of activities such as role play, construction, mark making and painting, there is a host of free play activities to choose from.
Outdoor provision is included during this time and adults provide a focus activity in this area also.

11.30–12.30pm

The children begin their topic related activities in earnest and all are encouraged to participate. Some Children work in small groups with an adult and remaining children have the choice of activities such as role play, construction, mark making and painting, there is a host of free play activities to choose from. Outdoor provision is included during this time and adults provide a focus activity in this area also.

3.15pm-3-45pm

Carpet Time/Circle Time
The children are brought together and enjoy a range of activities such as stories, songs and group discussion reflecting upon the afternoon's activities

3-45pm- 4-15pm

Tea Time-small groups again as at lunch time.

4.15pm-5-30pm

The Children have access to Free Play and self-choice activities. Outdoor provision is again accessed where the weather permits
