Benefits for Children

The children will have continuous access to a broad range of activities which will assist them in their social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development.  These activities will be based on the premise that children learn through play, both free and structured.

We plan different activities each day that meet the individual needs of the children, giving them opportunities to develop and practice skills in all areas of development. We help them to understand the importance of respect and independence as they progress through nursery.

The children will have continuous access to environments that are welcoming, secure, properly appointed and fully supervised.  Staff will treat the children’s needs as paramount and consult fully in partnership with the parent/carer(s)

Benefits for Parents

We understand that leaving your child for the first time in Nursery is a big event and can be stressful and an upsetting time for you and sometimes, for your child, so therefore, we try to make this as easy as possible. Once your child’s place is booked and before your child starts nursery, we will offer you and your child the opportunity to attend ‘settling in sessions.’ This is an important transition period for you and your child and also helps us to build up important relationships with you and your child. During this settling in period you will be given every opportunity to talk about what is best for you and for your child and the induction will be tailored to your individual needs. Good communication between staff is vital, as it will enable us to provide full reports on the progress your child is making and answer questions you may have.
