Machynlleth Community Nursery
Nursery
The Nursery is registered and inspected by CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales) and ESTYN (The office of Her Majesty's Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales) under the Children’s Act. We receive regular visits to ensure our practices and procedures are in accordance with the National Minimum Standards for Full Day Care written by the Welsh Assembly Government.
Opening Times
The Nursery operates on a sessional basis, the sessions being as follows:
Morning 8.30am – 12.30pm
Afternoon 1.30pm – 5.30pm
School Day 8.45am – 3.45pm
All Day 8.30am – 5.30pm
The Nursery is registered to care for up to 22 children between the ages of birth to 5 years.
The Nursery runs a morning 'Cylch Meithrin' session with Mudiad Meithrin, where children aged 3 - 5 years have the opportunity to learn and play through the medium of Welsh to increase their development using a wide range of Welsh Language skills.
The children will have access to a broad range of activities which will assist them in their social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development. These activities will be based on the premise that children learn through play, both free and structured. The children will have continuous access to environments that are welcoming, secure, properly appointed and fully supervised. Staff will treat the children’s needs as paramount and consult fully in partnership with the parent/carer(s)
We hope that you will select our Nursery for your childcare and look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to arrange a convenient time to visit or to discuss our services in more detail. We encourage parents to take an interest in all aspects of the Nursery and we wouldo invite you and your child to a complimentary visit.
