Nursery

The Machynlleth Community Nursery was established in 1991 by a group of local parents who wanted to increase the availability of quality childcare in the local community.

Opening Hours

The Nursery is open Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm. The Nursery is run on a sessional basis and your child can be booked for a morning, an afternoon, all day or for a 'school day'. For further information see the costs section.

If your child is brought to the Nursery earlier or collected later than the agreed time, there will be an additional charge.

Staffing

The Nursery Manager is Emma Jones. All staff hold either NNEB, NVQ level 2 or 3 level qualification in Early Years Childcare. Staff are employed in line with the regulations governing childcare, including a CRB check to make sure that no-one unsuitable will be employed by the Nursery. Registration

The Nursery is regulated by CSSIW (Care Social Services Inspectorate Wales) and we are currently registered for 22 children aged 0-5. The children are looked after in their age groups, children aged 0-2 are in the yellow room, children aged 2-3 in the green room and children over 3 in the blue room.
